Feedback on Trailer
As I have now completed my final product and uploaded it to Youtube, the members of my class have watched it and evaluated it so I can receive feedback from my trailer. What they said was that the sound I have included is effective and creates the right atmosphere for my trailer and that I have made good use of the different shots I have obtained from the limited locations. As my class are my target audience it was important that they felt I met their needs with the element of entertainment. It was important that my trailer appealed to the right target audience which from the feedback I received, this was true and appealed to them as I had followed conventions of typical horror films which make people want to watch it and also the actor which has been used is a similar age to my target audience therefore they can relate. As well as this the mis en scene used is also typical of the character and their age therefore reflects the same locations as to what my target audience would be in which makes it more relatable and appealing to them.
Final Version of Trailer
I have now completed my trailer and have proceed the final edit of it. I have made changes from the first draft such as changing the sounds to some parts of my trailer and adding in more headings to create more of a storyline. This will help my viewers to follow the trailer as well as being inquisitive about learning what happens within the film. My final trailer version is below:

Magazine Front Cover & Poster
After going through various drafts of my magazine and poster and changing different aspects to the, I have produced a final product for each part. I have made sure that the right conventions have been used for both the poster and the magazine front cover. These products fit in with my trailer which is essential into the branding of my overall film.

Audience Theory
3 Main Theories
-The Effects Model or Hypodermic
-Uses and Gratification
-Reception
Effects Model:
-Dominant Theory
-Passive audience who are powerless to make an impact
-People could follow the actions of what has happened in my trailer, makes it a bad influence
Hypodermic
-Audiences are tricked
-The film Childs Play 3 in the murder of James Bulger in 1993
-The film Severance (2000) in the murder of Simon Everitt
-Moral Panic, out cry from these films, not just violence (sexuality), books also
Uses & Gratifications:
-We have control on how we consume text
-When we watch violent things, people are not effected by it
-Active text, audience use text for gratification or pleasure
-Audience has the power, make our own readings, can reject media
Categories:
Diversion, Escapism, Information, Pleasure, Comparing Relationships and Lifestyles with ones own & Sexual Stimulation
My trailer is a horror genre, so people can escape reality, want adrenaline from watching a horror trailer. They get pleasure and adrenaline. Audiences are actually in control. Contains Learning, Relaxation, Emotional and Satisfaction. By watching media we satisfy our needs.
Reception Theory Stuart Hall (1970)
Texts are encoded by producers, the audience then de-code the message. Although it is not always decoded to the main meaning, can fail to take it in - impact is larger on audience.
Three main ways that messages can be decoded: Dominant or Preferred, Negotiated, Oppositional.

First Draft of Trailer
I have been working on Final Cut Pro to produce my trailer and as the deadline for this is approaching I chose to make my trailer all linked in order to have a first draft of my trailer. Developing Ideas
As I have started to film parts of my trailer, I discovered that my storyboard was not as strong as I thought and to make my trailer the best it can be I need to add in different scenes and make my narrative stronger. From filming, I have been able to shot good scenes which I think will work in my trailer. Other shots I have taken were not as good and need to be re shot or improved. To do this I need to brainstorm new ideas. Below are ideas I have came up with to include in my trailer.
-Moving away from the idea of a 'Hook man' and moving more towards the idea of a follower. I think this will be better as it is hard to convey the aspect of a Hook man in my trailer with both the limitation of props and the actor that I have chosen.
-The follower will still follow the same story line, however I will add a twist into my story where the person who the followers is stalking, turns out to be following them too. This will help improve my narrative and will allow me to shoot more shots.
As I have been filming, I noticed I have been focusing on more artistic shots rather than the narrative, therefore need to focus on the narrative more.
